Islamorada is a group or village of islands in the upper Florida
Keys approximately fifteen miles southwest along US1 of Key Largo. The incorporated islands of
Islamorada include Plantation Key, Windley Key, Upper & Lower Matecumbe Key, Tea Table Key and the offshore
islands of Indian Key and Lignumvitae Key. The village of Islamorada has a population of between six and seven
thousand residents but is a popular tourist destination and weekend getaway for those living in South Florida as it
is only about a two hour drive from Miami. Popular activities in Islamorada include sport fishing,
snorkeling, golf, fresh seafood, visiting the Theater of the Sea and just relaxing in a very calm setting away
from the traffic of large cities. Islamorada hotels & resorts include Casa Morada, the Pines & Palms
Resort, Cheeca Lodge, the Chesapeake Beach Resort, the Islander Resort, the Coconut Cove Resort & Marina, the
